Our Tacoma and Seattle teams purchased and wrapped several holiday gifts for local families this week as part of our annual "Adopt a Family" initiative. On Thursday, the KPG Psomas sleigh delivered the donations to @helpinghandhouse in Puyallup, a local nonprofit that has provided supportive services to our community for the past 30 years.

We love working with @cityofrenton! Recently, KPG Psomas provided engineering, design, landscape architecture and construction engineering along NE 16th Street and Jefferson Avenue NE resulting in improved pedestrian safety, on-street parking, improved stormwater quality and increased infiltration.

On Wednesday, August 31, the City of Carnation had a ribbon cutting for their Tolt Avenue Central Business District project. The vision for this project started in 2010 and included redeveloping four blocks of the City’s “main street” to improve safety, improve stormwater drainage, and create an inviting streetscape reflective of the City of Carnation’s character and heritage. KPG Psomas provided Construction Services to the City to help bring this long-awaited project to life, to the delight of local residents.
Last Thursday, KPG Psomas’ Olivia, Kelsey, and Lauren flew with @sanjuanairlines to Orcas Island for the Prune Alley ribbon cutting ceremony. Our integrated team helped transform historic Prune Alley (previously designed as an “alley”) into a full “main street,” improving pedestrian access, formalizing parking, and providing unique district branding to serve existing businesses.

Our engineers from the Tacoma and Seattle offices visited the @oldcastle_infrastructure manufacturing plant in Aurburn, WA. We learned about the production of commonly used concrete structures, industry supply logistics, and their proprietary BioPod stormwater treatment systems.

Last weekend, a group of 27 adventurers from @kpgpsomas and @onepsomas tackled the Middle Gorge on the White Salmon River, located in the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge. A big thanks to @zooraft in White Salmon, WA for safely guiding us downstream and providing an epic Pacific Northwest experience—one not soon forgotten!
Big Thanks to everyone that supported the Hunger Walk 5K on May 7th! We were able to raise $478 which went directly to the Emergency Food Network (EFN). EFN is the central nonprofit food distributor for Pierce County serving a network of more than 70 food pantries, meal sites, and shelters.
We are excited to welcome Transportation Planner, Sean Dolan to our Seattle office! Growing up in an area that afforded him the freedom to travel via bicycle, motorcycle, or bus sparked his interest in expanding community access to safe and efficient mobility options. In his free time, Sean enjoys getting in a soccer game, going for a bike ride, or walking his dog, Mimi. Welcome to the team, Sean!
The City of Olympia recently hosted its End of Construction Celebration to mark the conclusion of renovation work on Franklin Street from Legion Way to State Avenue. Members of the KPG Psomas team joined the community for festivities ranging from live music to face painting.

We are proud to announce two career promotions from our Tacoma office. Jake Williams was promoted from Project Manager to Construction Services Department Manager, bringing over 13 years of experience to the role. He is currently managing a roadway improvement project on Orcas Island and enjoying the opportunity to create better access for the island community while also taking in the occasional whale and dolphin sighting! Drew Halverson was promoted to Marketing Department Manager after two years with us as a Sr. Marketing Specialist. He brings 20 years of professional experience to the role alongside a skillset for photography and videography. Drew especially enjoys the opportunity to visit a project site with our engineering and design staff to learn about the work in real-time and craft project-winning submittals!
